Cryogenic Grinding Cryogenic grinding has been successfully used to produce powder coatings, food products and pharmaceuticals as well as in recycling plastics materials and tires

Often, plastic, elastic and heat-sensitive materials cannot be finely ground. In cryogenic grinding, nitrogen or carbon dioxide is used to lower the temperature of these materials to their precise embrittlement point, prior to grinding. This process has proven to be a cost- and energy-efficient compliment to traditional size-reduction methods.

Cryogenic grinding has been successfully used to produce powder coatings, food products and pharmaceuticals as well as in recycling plastics materials and tires. Linde has over 30 years’ experience in cryogenic grinding; we gladly pass this knowledge on to customers by helping them choose new equipment and retrofit existing facilities.
